Ann Curry

Ann Curry is an American journalist and photojournalist. She is a reporter for over 45 years. She has reported on people suffering from the aftermath of natural catastrophes and war zones. Curry has covered wars across the globe, and has reported on conflicts in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of Agana) was an American anchor, television reporter and journalist. Curry was perhaps most well-known for her work as a reporter on The Today Show, a morning newscast produced by the National Broadcasting Co. Curry's work was praised for her coverage of humanitarian situations that were affecting war-ravaged nations as well as natural disasters. Curry's father was a naval officer within the U.S. Navy and her mother was Japanese. In the aftermath of World War II, her parents became acquainted when her father served in Japan. In the wake of her father's involvement in the military that they had to move around a lot. They ultimately relocated to Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. Curry graduated from high school in 1978 and earned an undergraduate degree in journalism of the University of Oregon. When she moved to Los Angeles, she became a reporter at KCBS TV 4 years following her moving to the city. In the course of her work with the station for six years that she received the two Emmy Awards.
